Privacy policy
Rideio for Android · Effective 31 October 2026
This policy describes how the Rideio app ("the app"), published by draftways, handles information. In short: everything the app keeps stays on your device, and the app collects and shares nothing.
Information the app keeps on your device
- The audio and video files you choose with Import, copied into the app's private storage.
- The titles you give those files, your playlists and their order.
- Where each file stopped playing and the media volume you last used for it.
- Your settings, such as layout, screen orientation, playback speed and sort order.
This information is stored only inside the app's private storage on your device. Deleting a file or playlist in the app removes it, and uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Information collected or shared
None. Rideio has no internet permission, so it cannot send any information off your device. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics or tracking.
Files on your device
When you tap Import, Android's own file picker opens. Rideio can read only the files you pick there, and only to copy them into the app.
Permissions
- Media playback in the background (foreground service): keeps audio playing while you use navigation or other apps, with a playback notification.
- Network state: requested by the media playback library the app is built on. The app has no internet permission and sends nothing.
- Wake lock: keeps the device awake during playback.
Children
Rideio is a general-audience media player. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
